Each pair of Lane boots is crafted by hand using classic techniques
Every day, we come to work hoping to do two things: spread our passion for boots and help make the world a little better.
That was true when we created the first pair of LANE BOOTS in 2007, and it’s just as true today. Our story begins as a business, not a passion. We were little more than a broker of another company's closeout western boots. That company needed boots and presented our founder, Patrick Lane, with the opportunity to be a supplier. He sourced those closeouts, negotiated the deal began shipping the product. It was simply a business deal. The company began receiving emails, letters, and reviews from customers who loved the boots. These customers shared how the boots changed their lives or how the boots made them feel. Words such as proud, confident, happiness and joy were popular in their comments. It was then that Patrick realized a simple pair of boots could impact people in a sincere and positive way. Since that time, Lane Boots set out to be a different kind of company - one that not only celebrated western boots and their rich tradition but also allowed us to share our passion.
It didn't take long before the first pairs of exclusive Lane Boots were designed and sourced. In 2010 we went to our first trade show in Dallas. There, we received plenty of positive feedback and orders from our amazing new retailers, and the adventure began. Today, we have a customer base that spans the entire U.S. We have hundreds of styles and thousands of fans. In late 2013, we officially opened our own manufacturing facility to keep up with the soaring demand. We are committed to continuing our dedication to the quality, style, and comfort you expect from Lane Boots. We want to add a little attitude to your style and put a little smile on your face every time you wear our boots.

BOOT FITTING GUIDE
Lane Boots fit true to size. We recommend that you purchase the size found most in your closet. Boots should fit snug to your foot. They should be neither too tight, nor too loose. Lane Boots are handcrafted with the finest leather, inside and out, and will mold to your foot. They do not take long to break in. The break-in period will vary depending on the type and thickness of the leather.
THE PERFECT FITTING BOOT
Lane Boots are bench-made and hand-lasted. We use an exclusive "last" (the foot model our boots are built around) to make sure they are comfortable, they fit great, and they look fabulous. We use an antibacterial, moisture-wicking, padded memory foam insole along with a flexible, leaver covered insole and an impact absorbing heel cushion. The combination of these features contribute to the true-size fit and comfort of Lane Boots. We are confident you will want to wear them all day long.

GUIDE FOR BOOT FITTING
Find the perfect pair of boots for your foot shape and size
The in-step of a boot is a key fit area. The in-step area should fit snug, not too loose, and not too tight on the foot.
It is normal for your foot to slip a little in the heel area when trying on a new boot. If the heel of your boot is too tight, the instep may also be too tight. A tight heel could indicate that the boot is too short. When the foot is positioned too close to the toe of the boot, the toes can be constrained in the boot.
The ball area of your foot should be positioned evenly with the widest part of the boot for the best fit.
Lane Boots are offered in a variety of boot shapes, toe shapes and heel shapes. The wider the toe area is, the more relaxed the toes will be. The higher the heel of the boot, the tighter the instep may be.
