I normally wear size 10 in boots. I was surprised to find that size 9 1/2 was the right fit. But returning for exchange was very easy to do. I ordered these in brown and love the simple classic rustic style and overall quality! Very glad I purchased these.

These boots are gorgeous and it’s obvious they are beautifully hand crafted. My only complaint is they are about one whole size too big and a little wide on the lower calf. My husband ordered half a size smaller for me, from 7.5 to a 7.0, and they are still too big. I’m sad I can’t wear them for their event we had scheduled. If the sizes run large, they should adjust their chart to reflect the correct size rather than say they run large and people not know what size to order. They are expensive and when I place an order, I want it to come in fitting just right…. That’s part of providing quality service.Bottom boot in picture is 7.5 and the Lane boot is 7.0. You can notice the size difference.

This is my third pair, and I continue to be amazed. They run a little big, but I don't mind, because they are SUPER comfy. It's not like most of us are going to be doing any real cowgirl activity in these, in the event that you are a cowgirl, size half a size down. This will be purrrrfect for the winter when I need to wear thicker socks. I normally wear really thin ones with my other boots. I got them on sale, and really feel like this was a STEAL. I am so stoked. The color is gorgeous; I got the cognac. So lately I have had really bad luck with online purchases, and I purchased a bunch of new dresses, some for work and one for my upcoming wedding, and when I saw them I started crying, it was that bad. These boots are the opposite; I was so DELIGHTED, so ecstatic, so HAPPY to see these beauties.

Fit is good BUT the color was nothing like what I ordered.

This was my first time ordering boots with Lane and it couldn't have been a better experience! I did my due diligence and researched. I also read all of the reviews which were very helpful since this is my first pair of cowgirl boots. I ordered a half size down from my regular shoe size and the fit (with thick socks) is perfect. I think if I went down a whole size, they would have been too small. I am going to a Montana guest ranch this summer and I'm so looking forward to wearing them for all of my trail rides. Until then, I will enjoy them at work and home!

I purchased the short Plain Janes for my adult daughter as a gift. The boot name is an understatement. The boots came in a nice box with the turquoise logo. When you open the box new leather smell wafts from the box, with more beautiful turquoise packaging. My daughter absolutely loves the turquoise on the sole. I ordered a 1/2 size small. I probably could’ve ordered a whole size smaller but my daughter didn’t want to wait for an exchange. She wanted to wear them right away.

This is my second pair of Lane boots. I never owned a pair of short cowboy boots and this style was a great choice! The boots were comfortable from the moment I first put them on; no break-in period was necessary.

I bought these boots and absolutely loved them, but within six months they fell apart. I sent photos and a copy of my receipt asking for them to be replaced and several follow up emails, but received no response. Very disappointing on such an expensive pair of boots.

These boots are so comfortable that you can go all day doing errands.It looks great in jeans, or you can dress them up with a cute skirt. Ladies, you need a pair of these beautiful boots!

This is my favourite, most versatile boot! The color compliments most outfits and the comfort allows for all day wear on my feet. Definitely need it in every color!

I love my boots! They were too tight in the instep in the beginning....I had to stretch the left one to make it work. But, once done, they fit perfectly! They are very well made and so cute!! The first pair I ordered was a size 7, my normal size, and they were too big. So, I sent back and immediately received a 6.5. Like I said, I had issues getting the left boot on. The right one was difficult, but once on, my heel slipped right where it should be. I will say the instep on both was snug. I may do a little more stretching in that area if I can.

I love love love boots.. Color was lighter than I thought but fit was good.. a A little uncomfortable around calf area but fine with pant!!! Would definitely recommend boots..

I love these boots! But I must say they are SO difficult to get on. I almost throw my back out every time I have to put them on. But once they're on they fit great! I am usually a shoe size 10, but saw that you should order a half size down so I ordered a 9.5 first. I couldn't get either of them on, so I exchanged for a 10 and they fit fine and I can get them on, although it's still quite difficult.

I had a great experience with Lane..Their customer service was awesome ! I had ordered 2 pairs of the PJ shorties and loved them but oddly one boot fit very tight around the ankle . I exchanged it for a different pair and it was perfect. The staff was super helpful in assisting me with the exchange.

The boots are beautiful ( I ordered the brown ones). But, impossible to get your foot into! I wear cowboy boots of all types and have never had a problem getting my foot into the boots! I am a true size 7 in most every shoe, boots 6&1/2. I ordered the 6.5 based on reviews here for the PJ Shortie, and IF I could actually get my foot into the boot, I'm pretty sure the footbed would have fit well. However, I did not want to take the chance (based on the price of these baby's) to have them stretched to find out if they'd work! I do have a fairly high instep, but it's never been a problem before trying these boots. I gave 3 stars for the obvious quality of the leather and the gorgeous look of the boots. But not much good if ya can't wear them!

They were a little tight over the top of my feet so I took them to a shoe repair shop and had them stretched for $10 and now they fit perfectly! I typically wear a size 7.5 but after reading reviews I ordered a 7 and they’re perfect. Really great quality and will most likely order in black next.

These boots fit me just a tab bit larger but with a little sock it’s perfect. Able to wear all day with comfortability. Would highly recommend for all day wear. I would not hesitate to buy again.

Love the style of the boot, especially the sole. Sad to see the color scratch off during wear though.
