Lane Boots are handcrafted with the finest leather, inside and out, and will mold to your foot. They do not take long to break in. The break-in period will vary depending on the type and thickness of the leather.

We use an antibacterial, moisture-wicking, padded memory foam insole along with a flexible, leather covered insole and an impact absorbing heel cushion. The in-step of a boot is a key fit area. The in-step area should fit snug, not too loose, and not too tight on the foot.
It is normal for your foot to slip a little in the heel area when trying on a new boot. If the heel of your boot is too tight, the instep may also be too tight. A tight heel could indicate that the boot is too short. When the foot is positioned too close to the toe of the boot, the toes can be constrained in the boot.
The ball area of your foot should be positioned evenly with the widest part of the boot for the best fit.
Lane Boots are offered in a variety of boot shapes, toe shapes and heel shapes. The wider the toe area is, the more relaxed the toes will be. The higher the heel of the boot, the tighter the instep may be.

Man I didn't want to like these. I felt guilty as soon as I completed the purchase. I was gonna send them back without even opening the box. But I looked in the box. I waited 2 days then decided I would just slip one on, just to look and dagnammit they were perfect! Yeah they are expensive, but I'm keeping these! Worn first day, no blisters no rubs. Love them.

I had been waiting to buy the Robin mules for over a year. When Lane had their warehouse sale I found the pair I was waiting for (in the caramel color). This pair is my 5th pair of Lanes. I have everything from boots to booties. When they arrived I was shocked: the back strap for the mule was so short I couldn’t buckle it. I felt like crying.Lane offered me to return them but I had already walked in our house with them so I don’t feel that they could be returned.I worked on breaking them in over several weeks. I finally managed to buckle the strap but it’s been the most uncomfortable break-in of any of my shoes in a long time & my 1st painful break-in with any of my Lanes.I wear a size 8 in my Chloe, Bohemian Rose, Camilla, an 8-1/2 in my floral halfsies (but that’s bc it was specifically recommended to me to go 1/2 size up bc heel is so tall).I would have probably needed a 1/2 to whole size up in the Robin mules …The other thing, I have a high instep & the top strap leaves zero wiggle room for my foot. I’m hopeful the leather will give a little with wearing then & w/ time.They are well made, as usual, & ppl who’ve seen me wear them compliment me every time — just wish they didn’t hurt my feet so much.

I have several pairs of Lane boots I wear and love! I will keep these but the color in pictures showed a nice cream beige. These are twice as dark as the picture. I purchased to wear with a dress I already had to wear to a special friends wedding. Now I am crushed that I can not!

This was my first time ordering from Lane boots. Easy ordering, quick shipping, and true to size. I usually teeter between a size 6 1/2 - 7 I opted for the 7 and they fit great. They are comfortable and can easily be worn with jeans or a dress. Great quality, and they smell amazing!

I bought these very hansom boots for my husband. He's a size 14 and that's not always easy to find in western style boots( or any men's shoe for that matter) When I saw these came in larger size than the average max of size 13, I was thrilled. We go country line dancing 2-4 times a week and comfort is really important. These awesome boots DO NOT DISAPPOINT! The wide toe style and fully cushioned insole make these a huge win. He loves them!!! Thank you Lane for always making such high quality boots!

I have lots of boots over the years. I waited a while to get these but they are not comfortable. You cannot remove the innersole to add better support.
The turquoise sole is one of the key reasons I got them but it did not last through one wear. I even sprayed them with a clear coat to protect the color. I was inside a building most of the day at work.
For the price they are not worth it. Cute but not worth $350 + $6 (return fee) + tax.
