Lane Boots fit true to size. We recommend that you purchase the size found most in your closet. Boots should fit snug to your foot. They should be neither too tight, nor too loose. Lane Boots are handcrafted with the finest leather, inside and out, and will mold to your foot. They do not take long to break in. The break-in period will vary depending on the type and thickness of the leather.

THE PERFECT FITTING BOOT

Lane Boots are bench-made and hand-lasted. We use an exclusive "last" (the foot model our boots are built around) to make sure they are comfortable, they fit great, and they look fabulous. We use an antibacterial, moisture-wicking, padded memory foam insole along with a flexible, leather covered insole and an impact absorbing heel cushion. The combination of these features contribute to the true-size fit and comfort of Lane Boots. We are confident you will want to wear them all day long.
  • The in-step of a boot is a key fit area. The in-step area should fit snug, not too loose, and not too tight on the foot.
  • It is normal for your foot to slip a little in the heel area when trying on a new boot. If the heel of your boot is too tight, the instep may also be too tight. A tight heel could indicate that the boot is too short. When the foot is positioned too close to the toe of the boot, the toes can be constrained in the boot.
  • The ball area of your foot should be positioned evenly with the widest part of the boot for the best fit.
  • Lane Boots are offered in a variety of boot shapes, toe shapes and heel shapes. The wider the toe area is, the more relaxed the toes will be. The higher the heel of the boot, the tighter the instep may be.

I purchased these boots as my "4th of July, Valentine, and Christmas boots." I have to say these boots are amazing! You can break them right out of the boot and start running in them. I was so excited when I received them, so that is exactly what I did on July 3rd. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because there was white string throughout the stitching of the boot. There was also a dime size defect in the paint/leather on the toe box of the boot. If I thought someone would get down and inspect my boots then I would have returned them. Luckily, no one is as neurotic as I am 🤣 I'm honestly ecstatic since these are the only issues. Especially considering my previous issues with their Emma Jane boots. I just wish Lane was more meticulous with this quality control before they shipped out any of their boots.

I got these for my birthday for my husband. I ordered them the day they came out (a Monday) and had them at my house on Thursday the same week! The hanging tag on the boot had scuffed off some of the metallic red, but it wasn’t too bad and I wanted to wear them so I just cut the tag off. My issue with the boots is that where they are sewn with the outside pole loop the inside scratched up my leg because it’s rough and I had to find a Band-Aid because it was rubbing my calve raw. I got so many compliments on my boots because I wore them to Wizard of Oz at sphere and the Kenny Chesney concert at sphere the next day. Going to have to contact the company about the edges being left rough though…. Also, I’m not sure how well the metallic red is going to hold up based on a hangtag already wearing it off…..

I ordered these and they came very quickly. However, brand new out of the package, One of the boots was completely scuffed where the red metallic was coming off. I put in a request for an exchange and it said that I would have to wait because they needed more information. I don’t want to return them. I literally just want them replaced. I’ve never worn them and they still have the tags on them. Just waiting on a response.
