The boots are such a unique and fun color. I have to buy a size 5.5 in this style, just like in the Lexington boot, but I wear a size 5 in some of Lane's other styles, (PJ, Cossette, Jolene). I am very happy with my purchase. This is my 3rd pair of Smokeshows, and I always get compliments while wearing them.

Okay, so I feel compelled to add a postscript to my last review which I gave 4 stars to.After having the turquoise metallic smokeshow sitting in front of me for the past few days, I have figured out the color. Today is gloomy, dark and rainy, but the smokeshow sparkle; the turquoise has a liquid silver like cast to it, which is extremely pretty. These cowgirl boots scream last blast of summer, go big or go home, or simply, TEXAS! Here in Ontario, people think of maple syrup and beautiful red and gold leaves. When someone mentions Texas, silver and turquoise immediately come to mind, because isn't that something y'all known for?
The turquoise metallic Smokeshow totally took me by surprise.I guess I was expecting a really vibrant monochromatic blue turquoise (or the deep signature color matching the soles, box and boot stuffers.) When I opened the box, I found a paler seafoam green metallic boot with contrast white stitching. Don't get me wrong, these are GORGEOUS cowgirl boots. All the Smokeshow are.I just had my heart set on the boot matching the picture on the Lane site. The color I think is very similar to the taos ones, with a foil metallic finish instead. I will learn to love these boots, 'cause they ain't going back. Maybe Lane cowboy boots are meant to be like the perfect mail order mate; they just get better and more comfortable over time and you would never consider sending them packing...
