Lane Boots fit true to size. We recommend that you purchase the size found most in your closet. Boots should fit snug to your foot. They should be neither too tight, nor too loose. Lane Boots are handcrafted with the finest leather, inside and out, and will mold to your foot. They do not take long to break in. The break-in period will vary depending on the type and thickness of the leather.

THE PERFECT FITTING BOOT

Lane Boots are bench-made and hand-lasted. We use an exclusive "last" (the foot model our boots are built around) to make sure they are comfortable, they fit great, and they look fabulous. We use an antibacterial, moisture-wicking, padded memory foam insole along with a flexible, leather covered insole and an impact absorbing heel cushion. The combination of these features contribute to the true-size fit and comfort of Lane Boots. We are confident you will want to wear them all day long.
  • The in-step of a boot is a key fit area. The in-step area should fit snug, not too loose, and not too tight on the foot.
  • It is normal for your foot to slip a little in the heel area when trying on a new boot. If the heel of your boot is too tight, the instep may also be too tight. A tight heel could indicate that the boot is too short. When the foot is positioned too close to the toe of the boot, the toes can be constrained in the boot.
  • The ball area of your foot should be positioned evenly with the widest part of the boot for the best fit.
  • Lane Boots are offered in a variety of boot shapes, toe shapes and heel shapes. The wider the toe area is, the more relaxed the toes will be. The higher the heel of the boot, the tighter the instep may be.

I waited and waited for these boots to become available! When they did, I did not hesitate to buy them even though they were a big expense for me. Well, I was pretty disappointed. They were clearly a returned pair. The box was a mess inside! I am a true 7.5 and every pair of Lane boots I have tried on have fit perfect. These boots are pretty tight and I am having a hard time breaking them in. I bought a pair of Lane mules in the same order that fit perfectly and I wore all day at a wedding, out of the box. I don’t know what happened with these boots but for $350. I should not have had any issues! I will continue to work on them but hesitate to buy more.

I own a lot of boots, but I always seem to go back to laneThese are just a great classic brown cowgirl boot not too tall not too short perfect for summer with shorts, jeans and ski skirts and dressesMy usual size 7 feels great right out of the box. They will stretch a little and be perfect.

Obsessed with these boots. They are a lil big but I can double up my socks. I do recommend doing the half size down if you are between sizes. They are so comfy I wore to work had no issues… 😍

I just received my second pair of Lane boots. I ordered the same size. I can’t get my heel past the ankle of the boot to see if they fit or not. I will have to buy a boot horn to see if I can get them on.

Boots are beautiful. Unfortunately same problem as all other boots I’ve ordered from this company. Calf circumference is too narrow. Seems like this company only caters to very thin-legged girls. Some of us with “athletic” calves also exist and would love to own a pair of these boots. Will be returning AGAIN ☹️

The fit and feel of these boots are unmatched. Lane are the most comfortable boots I own - with a shorter heel then what most boots have to offer makes it great to dress up or down and the burnt Carmel color is TIMELESS. I cannot recommend them enough. Lane girly for life 🖤

As a wearer of a higher price point boot, I did not have high expectations for these boots. They were for my college daughter so I knew they would be fine. To say I am completely impressed is an understatement. They are fabulous!!!! Every detail is perfect!!!! These will definitely be a go to boot in multiple colors for all for my girls and myself.
