The in-step of a boot is a key fit area. The in-step area should fit snug, not too loose, and not too tight on the foot.
It is normal for your foot to slip a little in the heel area when trying on a new boot. If the heel of your boot is too tight, the instep may also be too tight. A tight heel could indicate that the boot is too short. When the foot is positioned too close to the toe of the boot, the toes can be constrained in the boot.
The ball area of your foot should be positioned evenly with the widest part of the boot for the best fit.
Lane Boots are offered in a variety of boot shapes, toe shapes and heel shapes. The wider the toe area is, the more relaxed the toes will be. The higher the heel of the boot, the tighter the instep may be.

Waited 8+ weeks for my Megan Moroney smokeshow boots. The website did and still does currently say 3 weeks as they’re custom made. Now I understand a delay, but it needs to be communicated. It was not. We had to reach out 3 times, twice was a generic email response ending with “they’re worth the wait” hint: they aren’t. It was until the 3rd email, also a left a voicemail right before and never got a call back; and mentioning FTC rules in regards to shipping that I got even a sliver bit of more information but still no update on when they might be shipped. Finally they come. So excited. Pull them out of the box and can already see imperfections. Stitch seams pulled up, they had blue paint on the leather, parts of them looks like the leather was scuffed, cuts in the wood sole, the blue bottom got all over my dining table, zipper handle seam was frayed and the handle was unevenly cut, so on and so forth. Both boots. Watch the video for yourself, two photos only because I needed a video to show all the poor details. Highly disappointed.

I have several pairs of Lane Blue bottoms, and I’ve received compliments with each pair that I’ve worn. I recently went to a Texas wedding and all eyes on me and my blue bottoms boots.

The blue lane box these come in arrived at my door like this. Customer service was going to send me a new box but it never came I called twice and emailed them. When I call they say they will send one out but it never comes. When I emailed they say they don’t send out empty boxes and to “check my local grocery store for storage options”? Bfr Lane… I would like the original box to store my $300 boots, really disappointed in them. Really hope they will resolve this…

These are my new favorite pair of boots. This is my first pair of Lane boots and it’s safe to say I will only be buying my boots here from now on. I wore these boots for 3 days straight in Nashville for my bachelorette and not once were they uncomfortable. I didn’t even break them in beforehand. I am usually an 8.5-9 in all shoes, but a 9-9.5 in snip toe boots. I originally ordered the 9 but had to return and exchange for 8.5. The return/exchange process was flawless. I had another person tell me that lanes do run slightly big, so I would now concur. I’m so happy that I ordered these boots!! Cheers to my next pair!

I purchased my first Lane boots (ehite Smokeshow) for Taylor Swift concert. I did not have a time to wear them before to get used to them and I was really worried how my feet will do in new boots standing for 9 hours. This is how great those noots are - I had no issue whatsoever. So comfortable, beautiful amd great fitting. 5 stars

Absolutely love these right out of the box so comfortable no break in period needed. I am 8 in womans shoes and bought a 8 and they fit amazing I don’t have a wide foot but I feel if you did you would still be ok. I know they are pricey but well worth it I can’t wait to wear these for my wedding!
