These shipped super fast, I ordered them over the weekend and got them the following Wednesday. I semi wanted to not be so in love with them, bc they are a splurge for me, but....lol they are super beautiful and fit perfect. I’m 5’10” and they come about an inch above the knee on me. I also ordered my usual boot size 10.
I'm a little particular when it comes to quality footwear, and especially boots, so I'm going to try to give a good, unbiased, informational review that people can use to make a decision as to whether or not they want to purchase these boots online, sight unseen, like I did. Upon unboxing, I was put off by the look of the leather. The finish makes them look almost like "vegan" leather, but they smell like real leather. I could smell them before opening the box. I think with wear they will soften up and look more natural. I wouldn't go as far as saying they are made of high quality, top grain leather, because they are not, in comparison to my Old ****** boots. As for sizing...these boots are ABSOLUTELY true to size. I wear an 8.5-9, depending on the boot. Had I tried them on prior to purchase, I'd have purchased an 8.5, not a 9. Pay no attention to the reviews saying to order a half size larger. That is all relative to the size and shape of your feet, and calves. If your feet are wider or have a little more meat on them, you might want to go a half size up. My feet are average. Not narrow, and not thick, but average, and I have extra room in them. My legs are average,, not too thin, and not too thick. I have plenty of room for my calves. That said, they aren't made for people with thick calves, and the lacing up the back is for looks, not function. However, as someone else mentioned, you could take them to a cobbler/boot maker, have them split down the back seam, the edges finished and the lacing would be functional. I would have them put better lacing though, as what comes in the boots is thin, so I don't know how well they would hold up. I can wear thick socks with them and still have plenty of room. The soles are thick leather, and the heels aren't stacked leather, but look to be of a man made material. I bought the brown ones. Depending on how the leather relaxes with wear, I may buy them in bone, then black. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not they're worth $375. I got mine for $335. I'll definitely be waiting for a sale before buying them in the other colors offered.
