Lane Boots fit true to size. We recommend that you purchase the size found most in your closet. Boots should fit snug to your foot. They should be neither too tight, nor too loose. Lane Boots are handcrafted with the finest leather, inside and out, and will mold to your foot. They do not take long to break in. The break-in period will vary depending on the type and thickness of the leather.

THE PERFECT FITTING BOOT

Lane Boots are bench-made and hand-lasted. We use an exclusive "last" (the foot model our boots are built around) to make sure they are comfortable, they fit great, and they look fabulous. We use an antibacterial, moisture-wicking, padded memory foam insole along with a flexible, leather covered insole and an impact absorbing heel cushion. The combination of these features contribute to the true-size fit and comfort of Lane Boots. We are confident you will want to wear them all day long.
  • The in-step of a boot is a key fit area. The in-step area should fit snug, not too loose, and not too tight on the foot.
  • It is normal for your foot to slip a little in the heel area when trying on a new boot. If the heel of your boot is too tight, the instep may also be too tight. A tight heel could indicate that the boot is too short. When the foot is positioned too close to the toe of the boot, the toes can be constrained in the boot.
  • The ball area of your foot should be positioned evenly with the widest part of the boot for the best fit.
  • Lane Boots are offered in a variety of boot shapes, toe shapes and heel shapes. The wider the toe area is, the more relaxed the toes will be. The higher the heel of the boot, the tighter the instep may be.

After having my boots for 30 days and wearing them multiple times I would like to say I was wrong for giving these boots 3 stars. They are definitely worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️stars. The scuff is had on top of my right boot i decided to use some leather cleaner on top of it rubbing it in real good and I can clearly say the scuff I gone. The squeaking noise in the right boot is still there, but I'm ok with it. The comfort these boots have is second to none. I can wear them all day like tennis shoes. I receive many compliments. I will be ordering from Lane boots again. I would have ordered the Emma Jane navy suede boots, but seems like their out of the size 10. I hope they will make more and just out of stock for the time being.

Im rating my Lane boots a 3 because they squeak and the color on the top of the right boot is discolored. Now I ordered these on line I did not want the hassle of sending them back and reordering, so I kept them. I will say shipping was real quick, they are very comfortable and they fit well(true to size). I can over look the discoloration its the squeaking I hope one day will stop. Will I purchase again YES and if I have a problem I will address it with them and Im sure they will help me. I purchased the Emma Jane Denim washed boots in a size 10 besides the flaws I mentioned I love these boots.

I absolutely love my Lane Emma Jane Boots! The Emma Jane in washed denim is my 3rd pair and I just placed an order for another pair of the Emma Jane in Bone! This boot is so soft, comfortable and looks good on. The smell of the leather is intoxicating! There is no break in period with these boots. I take them out of the box, put them on and I am good to go! I don't care what the weather is here in Houston! It can be 100 degrees and I have on a pair of Emma Janes and denim shorts. I love everything about this boot and I don't wear anything now but my Emma Janes!!
